Trust us: there is no better way to kick off one of the largest credit union conferences in the country than with a lively round of golf.
The Southeastern Credit Union Foundation (SECUF) will host its annual Southeastern Credit Union Conference & Expo (SCUCE) Charity Golf Tournament on June 17 — the first day of the conference — at the Ritz Carlton Grande Lakes Golf Club in Orlando, Fla. Participants should show up for registration and check-in at 6:30 a.m. and the tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m.
Registration — which costs $200 per credit union attendee or guest and $215 per vendor — includes a light breakfast, two drink tickets, unlimited beer and sodas from the beverage cart, a swag bag and entry into two contests: the $10,000 Hole in One Contest and the $5,000 Putting Contest. All proceeds benefit the work of SECUF.
“You don’t have to be registered for the conference to play in our tournament,” said Bobbi Grady, development coordinator for the Foundation. “Guests, family and friends are all more than welcome to play.”
Bobbi also said she encourages participants to consider purchasing the $40 Mulligan Package, which includes: three mulligans, four give-away prizes raffle tickets, a doubling of already purchased 50/50 raffle tickets and a 10-foot string to be used as a “gimme,” an extra stroke or a lifeline to save your ball from out of bounds.
Each player on the tournament’s first-place team will win $100. Each player on the second-place team will receive $75; and the third place will each win $50 each. In addition, the man and the woman with the longest drive will win $50 each — as will the man and woman who get “closest to the pin.”
“The Golf Tournament is a blast every year; and we’re looking forward to a fun day again this year,” Bobbi said. “I sincerely hope you’ll come join us for a day of sun, networking and enjoyment.”
