adminIn the coming days, credit unions should receive the LSCU & Affiliates 2017 affiliation brochure and dues invoice. The League is pleased to announce that for the eighth consecutive year, LSCU & Affiliates will not have a percentage-based dues increase. While leagues and league service corporations are struggling with revenue compression, membership choice, and competition, the League has been able to hold the line on dues and continue to operate efficiently, while at the same time meeting the varying needs of our Alabama and Florida credit unions.
Please take some time to look at our 2017 affiliation brochure which is different than what you’ve seen in previous years. This year, we focused less on numbers and more on telling our story about what the LSCU & Affiliates does to support and defend our credit unions every day. You will see prominently displayed on the cover our “Local Network. National Impact.” mantra which signifies our interdependency with the CUNA/League System. This is part of our CUStong.com campaign that LSCU and CUNA designed to differentiate ourselves in the marketplace. Our industry can only be successful if credit unions are working with their local state leagues and if leagues are doing the same with CUNA. No other trade association has the one-two punch of the CUNA/League System.
You will also see our tagline “Your Trusted Advocate” throughout the materials. This is how we want to be viewed by our member credit unions and is why we work hard every day to live out our mission to create an operating environment that enables credit unions to grow and succeed. However, we can’t do this without your membership and active engagement. Additionally, without support for LEVERAGE products and services, holding the line on dues would not be possible. We look forward to your affiliation and support in 2017 and beyond.
