On Feb. 10, Southeastern Credit Union Foundation Director Juli Lewis became one of several credit union professionals in Florida to graduate from the Institute for Financial Capability’s inaugural Certified Practitioner in Financial Capability professional certification program. Juli received a master level certification.
Other LSCU-affiliated employees in Florida also graduated from the program. They include:
Michele Paramore (master level), MPS FCU in Miami
Michelle Christie (master level), GTE Financial in Tampa
Jenn Gerson (master level), MPS FCU in Miami
Herschel Holloway, Envision Credit Union in Tallahassee
“This program prepared me at an even higher level to serve low- to moderate-income households and communities as they move through the Financial Capability Continuum,” said Juli. “This is an area of great need in which the Foundation and credit union professionals can make a serious difference in the lives of underserved members. I am extremely honored to be in the group with the individuals graduating from the pilot group of the CPFinCap certification. The time and work required for this 12-week course shows their commitment to the credit union movement.”
For potential candidates, the CPFinCap Certification has a live demo and question and answer session coming up March 6 from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. ET. The demo is a supplement to the FiCEP certification as it includes cohort style learning, connecting credit unions with community partners and rich discussions.
Join the Rapid Virtual Session to see a brief demonstration of the www.TogetherCert.com platform, review the work of past Candidates, and ask questions of The Institute’s Chief Credentialing Officer.
