LSCU & Affiliates Celebrates the Careers of Blake Westbrook and Laura Gober

The League of Southeastern Credit Unions & Affiliates (LSCU & Affiliates) announces that Blake Westbrook, Deputy Director of Government Affairs, and Laura Gober, Vice President of Compliance & Regulatory Services will be leaving the League to work alongside our member credit unions.

Blake has accepted an external position with the Atlanta Postal Credit Union as their Senior Vice President of Growth and Expansion. His last day with LSCU & Affiliates is Thursday, September 1, 2022. Laura has accepted an external position with MyGeorgia Credit Union as their Vice President of Compliance and BSA Officer. Her last day with LSCU & Affiliates is Wednesday, September 14, 2022.

Blake has been an integral part of the LSCU & Affiliates team for nearly 11 years. His responsibilities included raising PAC funds for ACULAC, Georgia CUPAC and LSCU FEDPAC as well as developing grassroots programs that allowed credit unions to have a greater impact on financial service issues in Montgomery, Atlanta, and Washington, D.C.
Laura started with GCUA in 2002 and helped start the successful shared compliance program. She left for 11 years to work for Atlanta Postal Credit Union as their VP of ERM and then came back to GCUA in 2018 to manage the Compliance Department and help Georgia Credit Unions with their compliance needs, where she has done a truly fantastic job.

Blake and Laura have served credit unions across the region with unwavering grace, commitment, and a willingness to help. While we are sad to see Blake and Laura leave, please join us in congratulating them on this exciting next chapter of their careers and thank them for the contributions made to enhancing the credit union movement.
