The League of Southeastern Credit Unions & Affiliates (LSCU) through the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) award platform recognized the First Commerce Credit Union for their outstanding outreach to their members and communities in 2020.
“We’re always pleased to celebrate the best of the best in an industry already known for its service to members – but this year in particular, we feel it’s vitally important to celebrate the credit unions that have gone all-in on demonstrating the credit union difference,” said Jared Ross, president of LSCU.
First Commerce Credit Union won the Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Community Services Award, honors a credit union or chapter/multiple credit union group for its social responsibility projects within the community. Credit unions could receive the award for their involvement in activities that help other people or strengthens the structure of a community, including raising funds for charity, educational activities, or community involvement projects.
First Commerce Credit Union has a chance to win an additional award in the national award program administered by CUNA. The results of the national contest will be announced in November.
