Lizeth GeorgeThe League of Southeastern Credit Unions & Affiliates (LSCU) through the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) award platform recognized the VyStar Credit Union for their outstanding outreach to their members and communities in 2020.
“We’re always pleased to celebrate the best of the best in an industry already known for its service to members – but this year in particular, we feel it’s vitally important to celebrate the credit unions that have gone all-in on demonstrating the credit union difference,” said Jared Ross, president of LSCU.
VyStar Credit Union won the Adult Desjardins Financial Education Award, which recognizes leadership within the credit union movement on behalf of financial literacy for all ages. Credit unions could receive the award for all activities supporting the personal finance education of members and non-members. This includes face-to-face teaching using proprietary materials, as well as financial literacy leadership efforts.
VyStar Credit Union has a chance to win an additional award in the national award program administered by CUNA. The results of the national contest will be announced in November.
