The LSCU has four new team members looking forward to working with credit unions. The new LSCU team members are officially on board and will be assets to our credit unions and the league as they help in different departments and different states.
Sydney Rubin joins the LSCU legislative advocacy team as the new senior director of governmental affairs for the State of Georgia. Prior to joining the League, Sydney worked for the American Chemistry Council in various capacities, most recently as the director of political mobilization, ACC’s grassroots advocacy program.
She represented the chemical and plastics industries across the 13-state Southern Region on both state and federal advocacy initiatives before she was promoted to lead the Political Mobilization team in addition to the Southern Region’s grassroots advocacy initiatives. Before working for the American Chemistry Council, Sydney worked at the Georgia State Senate and ran a successful campaign for John F. Kennedy, a state Senate candidate from Macon, Ga., as well as other Georgia statewide and State Senate campaigns.
Sydney has spent the entirety of her career working in the Georgia political realm. Sydney is a “Double Dawg” alumnus of the University of Georgia where she received her bachelor’s degrees in political science and psychology and recently earned her MBA.
Also joining the LSCU team is Collin Joiner, who will work with our Credit Union Audit and Compliance Group as the new staff auditor in West Tennessee. Collin graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin with a bachelor of science degree in business administration with a major in accounting in May of this year.
In his most recent position, Collin worked as a Legal Intern at National Tobacco Company, where he was responsible for implementing a digital filing system for state licenses.
Antoinette Plaster joins the Payment Solutions Team as one of two new member service representatives. Antoinette began working in the hotel industry at age 18 ad has worked with a variety of different companies here in Tallahassee over the last 20 years. In Antoinette’s last role she served as a receptionist for a national graduation, marathon and holiday photography company.
The newest member service representative is Tyraneshia Hoggan who joins the Payment Solutions Team. Tyraneshia (Tyra) has more than four years of experience in customer service and payments industry. In her last position, she worked at a local call center as a customer service representative.
