Lizeth GeorgeThe Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, the Florida National Guard, the Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs, and CareerSource Florida’s 24 local workforce development boards are excited to present the 9th annual Paychecks for Patriots, a virtual hiring fair for veterans, active military, their families, and the general public on November 9, 2021 from 9:30 a.m.- 11:30 a.m.
The League of Southeastern Credit Unions & Affiliates (LSCU) is proud to attend this event along with Manpower, Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, General Dynamics Land Systems, Capital City Bank, SynTech Systems, FBMC, Florida Department of Revenue, Florida State University, Big Bend Cares, Leon County Government, Accessibility Solutions, Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation, Florida Department of Children & Families, Florida Auditor General, and CareerSource Capital Region/Dynamic Workforce Solutions.
According to the Florida Dept. of Economic Opportunity, more than 6,710 veterans and military family members have sought jobs during previous Paychecks for Patriots events.
The first hour of the fair, 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., is exclusively for military veterans. The second hour from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. is open to veterans as well as the general public.
