In the credit union industry, we see unsung heroes going the extra mile every day for their members and for the movement. And among such strong individuals, there are a few standouts that spring to mind as those who deserve recognition for their dedication to helping people afford life.

Now is your opportunity to nominate someone who devotes his or her talent to shaping a brighter future for members and their community. Credit Union Magazine’s Credit Union Hero Award honors these credit union leaders who demonstrate their commitment to the longstanding people-helping-people credit union philosophy. Selection decisions are based on the information submitted on the nomination form by Dec. 6.

What makes a Credit Union Hero? Qualified individuals:

  • Are credit union system employees or volunteers
  • Are working or retired
  • Go above and beyond to promote credit union philosophy
  • Take a stand or demonstrate a strong belief in credit union philosophy
  • Shows dedication to credit union principles
  • Make a difference in their community

Contenders for Credit Union Hero of the Year will be spotlighted in Credit Union Magazine’s Spring issue. The 2020 Credit Union Hero of the Year will be chosen by Credit Union Magazine readers via an online poll and honored at World Moving: A Joint Credit Union Conference, July 19-22, 2020, in Los Angeles, Calif.
