Upcoming Member Vote Reminder and Consolidation Update

As we approach Thursday, November 21, members of the League of Southeastern Credit Unions & Affiliates (LSCU & Affiliates) and the Virginia Credit Union League (VACUL) will have the opportunity to vote on the proposed consolidation of the two organizations. This vote represents the final step in a thoughtful process driven by in-depth conversations and in-person feedback from credit union leaders. Recently, affiliated CEOs received email instructions on how to register for the vote (or register a proxy on their behalf). If your credit union did not receive the email, please contact help+LSCU@yeselections.com or call (866) 384-9978.

By bringing together the strengths of LSCU and VACUL, the consolidated organization aims to provide even more support for credit unions, enabling them to expand their reach and deepen their impact within local communities. This combined organization, under the leadership of Samantha Beeler as President, and Steve Willis, President of Affiliates Consolidated Services and LEVERAGE, will offer expanded resources and innovative solutions tailored to support credit unions in delivering value to their members.

If approved, the combined organization will represent 386 credit unions and 31.5 million members across four states, creating a stronger unified voice for credit unions and setting a foundation for future growth and collaboration.
