At the League of Southeastern Credit Unions (LSCU), we understand the importance of nurturing the next generation of credit union leaders. That’s why we are thrilled to invite you to our upcoming virtual Young Professional Peer Panel, on September 6, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. ET. During this panel, you will hear from esteemed industry leaders, engage in insightful discussions, and enjoy invaluable networking opportunities. This virtual panel is an excellent opportunity for young professionals to gain a deeper understanding of the credit union landscape, explore career growth possibilities, and network with fellow professionals from our credit union footprint.

Joining us as panelists are:

Samantha Beeler serves as President of the LSCU & Affiliates. She previously served as Vice President of Advocacy for the Northwest Credit Union Association (NWCUA), which was the regional trade association for credit unions in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. In her role, Samantha manages advocacy, compliance, communications, member engagement, education and training, and the Southeastern Credit Union Foundation. Prior to her work in the credit union industry, she led communications for a Government Contracts Practice group in Washington, D.C. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science from Washington State University and did an immersion program in International Relations at Peking University in Beijing, China. Samantha graduated from the Executive Education program at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. She has lived in more than 10 states and served in more than 30 countries. She is a facilitator and speaker on Adaptive Leadership and is certified in moral and ethical leadership coaching.
Grant Abbott, who joined the Florida State University (FSU) Credit Union team in 2010, graduated from the FSU College of Business with degrees in Finance and Marketing. He is a Certified Lending Expert, graduate of the Lending Solutions Consulting, Inc. (LSCI) Advanced Lending Institute, and one of only two professionals in the greater Tallahassee area with the Credit Union Business Lending Professional designation. Grant is also the current elected President of the Tallahassee Chapter of Credit Unions.
Ari Farrell (They/Ari/Ari’s) is the Manager of the World Young Credit Union Professionals (WYCUP) program of the Worldwide Foundation for Credit Unions. They are a member of the Credit Union De Novo Collective, working to simplify charting processes and support new credit unions for underserved communities. With 16+ years in customer service and eight years in the credit union sector, Ari has held various roles, including at Northwest Community Credit Union (NWCU) where they aided businesses and employees through the Paycheck Protection Program, contributing over $16 million to the community. Ari actively advocates for credit unions, social issues, and underserved populations through podcast interviews, panel discussions, and publications. They hold a Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Specialist (BSACS) and have received recognition from Filene Research Institute and African American Credit Union Coalition (AACUC). Their academic background spans psychology, teaching, and fine art.
