In only a few months’ time, awareness of Apple Pay has increased 15 percent among users owning compatible devices. During the same time period, awareness in Android users for Android Pay jumped nearly 20 percent research collected by First Annapolis Consulting recently reported.
Users reported an average satisfaction rating of 4.4 for each of the three mobile payment services. Participants responded that 61 percent of Android Pay customers are very satisfied with the service, compared to 59 percent of Samsung Pay users, and 52 percent of those signed up using Apple Pay.
The research also reveals that 74 percent of Americans have made at least one mobile payment in the last 12 months — including online, in-app, and in-store — representing an increase from 40 percent in May last year. For more survey results, read NFCWorld.
