adminThe LSCU joins credit unions globally in celebrating the 72nd International Credit Union Day on Oct. 15, featuring a theme of “Inspiring Hope for a Global Community.” As we lead up to the official day, we’re holding daily trivia contests with gift card prizes on our Facebook page. Our plan is to encourage involvement in the annual recognition of the importance of credit unions, so please join in!
Did you know? Today, there are 85,400 credit unions in 118 countries serving more than 274 million members. Learn this and more as we kick off the event with one trivia question and two fun facts, beginning on Oct. 12! Each daily winner on LSCU’s Facebook page will receive a $25 Starbucks gift card.
We’re also sending a press release to media and encouraging our member credit unions to share the ways they are raising awareness through ICU Day festivities, including outreach and volunteering in the community, organizing contests and charitable fundraisers to celebrate the spirit of the global credit union movement.
We’ll be sharing all of the news on social media, so look for the hashtag #ICUDay to follow the LSCU’s support of this global celebration!
