Lizeth GeorgeThe National Credit Union Foundation (the Foundation) is accepting nominations for the 2024 Herb Wegner Memorial Awards through Friday, July 28, 2023 by 5:00 p.m. CT. To submit a nomination, individuals, and organizations should complete and return the Herb Wegner Memorial Award Nomination Packet (below) with a minimum of five supportive references.
The Herb Wegner Memorial Awards are the credit union movement’s highest national honors and recognize outstanding leaders, programs, and organizations that have made a lasting impact on the movement. They are presented each year at the Foundation Dinner — the Foundation’s annual fundraising event.
Nominations can be made in two categories:
- Outstanding Individual Achievement, honoring an individual dedicated to promoting the credit union philosophy, whose leadership has had a lasting impact on the credit union movement.
- Outstanding Organization or Program, honoring innovative institutions or initiatives that have measurably improved the local, national, or international credit union system.
