The Southeastern Credit Union Foundation is excited to announce that our 2020 Financial Counselor registration (FiCEP) is now open for credit union staff and volunteers. Please note that we will have a Spring as well as a Fall FiCEP session and  a recertification track.  All three tracks include recorded webinars, helpful study guides, study sessions and a participant portal to house all of the information in one place.

FiCEP is a great program to help members who are experiencing financial difficulties, demonstrate the credit union difference, attract new members, grow product and service revenue and reduce delinquencies and charge-offs.

Please share this with the appropriate staff members in your credit union. The cost of registration is $650 per person, and credit unions with SAS funds may apply them to this cost. Credit unions enrolling multiple participants may be eligible for a discount. This cost includes training materials as well as webinars, study sessions, group testing and follow-up. More information can be found on the website here.

Looking for ways to get young people involved in financial education? Host a Financial Fitness team! Email SECUF director Juli Lewis at  Juli.Lewis@lscu.coop for details and to reserve a spot or request help getting your team together.

“We’re excited to offer so many opportunities for our credit unions to participate in financial education programs,” said Juli. “Our mission is to enhance knowledge to build a stronger, more prepared community. We want to enable credit union members and young people to overcome any financial obstacles they encounter.”

Finally, learn about more free resources and how to report your financial education efforts by joining the SECUF for an informational webinar Thursday, Dec. 19, at 10 a.m ET. Register here.
