LSCU is committed to the future of the industry, which includes encouraging and guiding young professionals. To that end, the LSCU has designed a YP Think Tank dedicated to the professional development of emerging leaders in the credit union industry. This premiere conference will be held on Nov. 16 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET at Community 1st Credit Union of Florida in Jacksonville, Fla. The free event is open to members of LSCU’s Young Professionals Group. The deadline to book a hotel room is Tuesday, Oct. 29, so please act now.
“We’re excited to offer our YPs this opportunity to learn more about pressing credit union issues, as well as how to develop as leaders within the credit union movement,” said Jordan Burroughs, LSCU vice president, member engagement. “It’s important to have younger generations poised to share the message of how credit unions serve their members and communities.”
In the morning, attendees will hear from industry leaders about important topics facing credit unions and leadership. They will spend the afternoon in a roundtable discussion, exchanging ideas to bring back to their local credit unions. An optional networking event is planned on the evening of Friday, Nov. 15.
