IBMSECU’s Southeast Credit Union Foundation hosts virtual 5K
Image of people running for fundraiserIBM Southeast Employees’ Credit Union’s Southeast Credit Union Foundation, will host the first Kilometers for our Community Virtual 5k on Saturday, April 21 and Sunday, April 22. The mission of the Southeast Credit Union Foundation is to improve the lives of children and families in the communities the CU serves. All proceeds raised will be donated directly to the foundation and used to support their causes like local scholarship awards and school supplies for children in need.

The Virtual 5K registration is now open for runners and walkers and is sponsored by Visa. All members of the community are welcome to participate or donate. With a $35 donation, registrants will receive a commemorative running shirt. Registrants can use #IBMSECU and #SECUFoundation on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram during or after their run for a chance to win a $50 Visa gift card. Alabama One announces winner of Winter Getaway contest

The winner, Amy Wingenter, is planning an amazing getaway vacation with Andavo Travel because she took advantage of Alabama One’s Transcend Visa credit card.

Alabama One, based in Tuscaloosa, AL, serves all the residents of Tuscaloosa, Pickens, Mobile, Jefferson, and 17 other counties.

 

Credit union staff attend workshop at LSCU
Image of credit union staff at workshopStaff from area credit unions joined the LSCU for its IRA Essentials Workshop in Birmingham, AL, on March 20. The workshop provided attendees with a solid foundation of IRA knowledge. Exercises included throughout the day helped participants apply information to job-related situations.
