The Alabama Small Business Commission is conducting listening sessions to hear community needs and issues affecting business owners before the Alabama Legislature convenes for its session Feb. 4.
The sessions will be held at 10 a.m. on Jan. 22 at Shelton State Community College in Tuscaloosa and Jan. 29 at 5 Rivers Delta Resource Center in Spanish Fort.
The commission is made up of a minimum of 22 representatives who serve as liaisons between small businesses and the state. They each either own or manage a small or independent business in a variety of industries, including agriculture, automotive, banking, construction, forestry, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, and trucking and represent each state congressional district.
