The LSCU Florida Advocacy Conference will be held early this year, Jan. 30-31, 2018, and is preceded by a lively tradition, the Tallahassee Chapter of CU’s annual bowling tournament at Seminole Bowl in Tallahassee. The tourney begins with registration, pizza and beverages on Monday, Jan. 29, followed by a fun-filled and competitive tournament from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Teams will vie for first, second and third place honors, as well as competing for awards in the Best Team Costume, Funniest Team Costume, and Most Creative Team Name categories.

Proceeds from the event benefit the chapter’s 2018 charity and CUPAC. Sponsorships can be shared between credit unions and vendors and are currently available for the dinner, the bar, or the dessert. Click here to RSVP or for more information.

This year’s Florida Advocacy Conference focuses on valuable advocacy and regulatory issues with unique opportunities for credit union officials to build and maintain strong political relationships. These connections are essential to the future of the credit union movement. A reception with state lawmakers and lobby visits to the Capitol will allow credit unions to network with Florida’s key policymakers.

Take advantage of this excellent opportunity to meet with your lawmakers about important issues facing the credit union industry. To register for the conference, or for additional information, click here.
