IBM Southeast Employees’ Credit Union’s Southeast Credit Union Foundation is taking donations to assist credit unions and victims from Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas. The foundation is working with through the National Credit Union Foundation’s CUAid, which helps people recover from major disasters and is accepting donations.
The IBMSECU Southeast Credit Union Foundation has added a donation feature to its Foundation Store named “$10 Hurricane Dorian Relief.” Donations can be made in multiples of $10 with a credit or debit card. The donation page can be found on the SECU Foundation Store by visiting ibmsecu.org, clicking on the “Community” header, and then choosing “Southeast Credit Union Foundation” in the dropdown menu. The Foundation Store is accessed via the “Make a Donation to the Southeast Credit Union Foundation” Box.
The mission of the Southeast Credit Union Foundation is to improve the lives of children and families in the communities we serve.
The National Credit Union Foundation’s CUAid.coop website is open to receive individual contributions or donations to assist credit union people affected by Dorian. You can also donate online directly to the American Red Cross.
America’s First FCU plans annual golf tournament benefit in October
America’s First Federal Credit Union is planning its annual Community First Golf Tournament at the Robert Trent Jones Oxmoor Valley course in Birmingham, AL, on Oct. 1, 2019. This year’s tournament benefits multiple charities, including the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention – Alabama Chapter, Sight Savers America, and Aletheia House.
The America’s First “Community First” Campaign is an employee-driven fundraising campaign that has focused on three different charities each year for the past six years. The Charity Golf Tournament is one of the largest fundraising opportunities for Community First. In 2018, America’s First awarded three charities a total of $111,000.

USF FCU Sponsors USF Business Scholarship Luncheon
USF Federal Credit Union was a sponsor for the University of South Florida Muma College of Business Scholarship Luncheon last week. More than $600,000 was awarded to business students via family scholarships, memorial scholarships, and corporate scholarships.
