Suncoast Credit Union is partnering with the Tampa Bay Rays to host the 11th season of Reading with the Rays, a program that encourages summer reading. The program encourages kids to choose their favorite books from the local library or a favorite section of the Tampa Bay Times to read over the summer. As they read, the kids track their hours by rounding the bases and collecting Rays prizes along the way. If they round the bases by reading a total of 24 hours this summer, they receive two tickets to a Rays game.
Alabama CU raises funds for Secret Meals with Bass Classic
Alabama Credit Union took part in its Secret Meals Bass Classic in May at Sweet Apple Farms. Participants enjoyed two days of catching (and releasing) countless fish, and the event broke the Bass Classic fundraising record. Though participants and sponsors, almost $12,000 was raised for Secret Meals. That’s enough money to provide over 85 children with food packs for an entire school year.
