Listerhill CU receives Large Business of Year award from area chamber

receiving award plaqueThe Shoals Chamber of Commerce in Florence, AL, recently presented Listerhill Credit Union the honor of 2018 Large Business of the Year Award. Open to larger companies with more than 50 employees, the winning business must have made a significant impact on the Shoals area through community efforts and economic growth.

The chamber’s 2018 Business Excellence Awards ceremony and luncheon recognized Listerhill and other the top local organizations that exhibit community and professional excellence on June 13.

 

IBMSECU’s Southeast Credit Union Foundation hosts annual school ready days

employees with giveawaysThis week, IBM Southeast Employees’ Credit Union’s Southeast Credit Union Foundation, held the second annual School Ready Day events for Georgia Headstart children and families at Sheltering Armys Early Education.

Members of the community were invited to donate and drop off school supplies at their nearest IBMSECU branch to help local kindergartners start the school year better prepared. More than 300 children and their families were invited to participate in a host of free services and resources, including dental and health education, vouchers for haircuts, new school supplies, shoes, clothing, and much more.

 

Suncoast recognizes World Elder Abuse Awareness Day

employees wearing purpleIn honor of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day on June 15, the team at Suncoast Credit Union wore purple to bring attention to a global problem. The goal was to receive help preventing scams and fraudulent attacks by detecting signs of financial elder abuse.
