First Florida CU breaks ground on new branch location

First Florida Credit Union recently held a groundbreaking ceremony for its newest Tallahassee branch, located in the Bannerman Crossing area at 3339 Breech Ridge Court.

First Florida President and CEO Brent E. Lister said the credit union is building the new branch to continue providing high-quality service to more Tallahassee residents.

First Florida’s Bannerman Crossing Branch is part of the credit union’s plan to continue expanding in the local market. It marks its sixth location in Tallahassee and its 14th in the state.

NE CU Chapter donates to SECUF

The North East Chapter of Credit Unions held a chapter meeting on Nov. 14 and presented a donation of $500 to the Southeastern Credit Union Foundation for disaster relief.

CU officials have opportunity to meet with CFPB

Credit union officials from Florida and Alabama recently met with the CFPB in Tampa, FL. Topics of discussion included the small dollar loan rule, overdraft protection, and the CFPB’s newly formed Regulatory Burden Relief Task Force. The meeting was an opportunity to speak with the organization’s high-level officials.
