Credit Union National Association today launched a free online community for its members. The Member Activation Program (MAP) Community is an open forum where credit union industry professionals can freely discuss advocacy matters affecting credit unions, communications, advocacy best practices for credit unions and exchange ideas and resources to better advocate for credit unions.

“Finding time to connect and stay up-to-date with the latest credit union advocacy efforts can be difficult, which is why we’re launching this community. The new MAP Community is the only forum in the credit union industry that gives place to discuss member advocacy efforts and communications as well as advocacy best practices for credit unions,” said CUNA President/CEO Jim Nussle. “I encourage all credit unions to participate in this resource and consider joining our Member Activation Program as we look to build off the major advocacy victories we’ve seen this year.”

The CUNA MAP Community includes different areas where members can:

  • Learn about advocacy efforts
  • Connect with their peers
  • Seek advice
  • Ask questions
  • Aid others
  • Participate in discussion topics
  • Search a collaborative file library for on-the-go resources
  • Share ideas and resources
