To provide credit union board and supervisory committee members an opportunity to communicate, collaborate and share useful information with their peers, CUNA announced a new online community for credit union board members. The community is available to CUNA member credit unions.

“This is a great tool for board members to share information and learn more about how others handle things that we are each probably thinking about.  I’m excited to be a part of this group and look forward to using this forum!” Doug Olson, Board Chair at Royal CU.

The community includes different areas where credit union board and committee members can:

  • Connect with their peers
  • Seek advice
  • Ask questions
  • Aid others
  • Participate in discussion topics
  • Search a collaborative file library for on-the-go resources

“This new community was designed with the needs of our dedicated volunteers in mind. It’s estimated that there are 58,000 credit union volunteers in the movement, and we wanted to provide a platform designed specifically for them to connect on a regular basis.” said Maegan Monson, instructional design manager at CUNA. “Knowing travel can be a barrier, this community provides board and committee members the opportunity to network, solve problems, ask questions and collaborate on issues that come up in real time.”

The community is free to CUNA member credit union board and committee members. To learn more and sign up, click here.
