Honor 2020 standouts: LSCU Awards deadline is July 31

The 2020 LSCU Awards give credit unions an opportunity to reflect on those who were outstanding last year. We realize the challenges our credit unions are facing during the pandemic and are issuing a last reminder that the deadline for submissions is July 31 to send in information on deserving individuals and credit unions.

Nominations may be submitted by chapters, individuals, volunteers and credit unions and may be submitted for your own credit union and your credit union staff or for another credit union you admire.

“The LSCU Awards are an excellent way to recognize and celebrate the extraordinary efforts of credit unions, individuals, and board members who made a difference in 2019,” said Jordan Burroughs, LSCU’s vice president of member engagement. “We realize how busy schedules are and streamlined the nomination process to help you quickly provide the details we need. With the pressures of the pandemic, we want to celebrate good news and good people and hope everyone will consider taking a few minutes to recognize a deserving candidate by completing a nomination.”

Additionally, LSCU has simplified the nomination process to make it easier than ever to recognize a deserving credit union or individual. Requirements include your contact information and 250 words or less describing why the recipient is deserving of the award.

LSCU Awards categories are:

Distinguished Service Award
Professional of the Year
Young Professional of the Year
Volunteer of the Year
Credit Union of the Year: up to $100 million in assets
Credit Union of the Year: $100-$500 million in assets
Credit Union of the Year: $500 million or more

This year, in recognition of the LSCU’s growth, to include three states, our Professional of the Year, Volunteer of the Year and Credit Union of the Year awards will be presented to LSCU-affiliated credit unions in Alabama, Florida, and Georgia.
