House, Senate pass resolution to fund govt through Dec. 22

The House and the Senate both voted in favor of a continuing resolution Thursday night to keep the federal government funded through Dec. 22. Funding for the government was scheduled to expire Friday. The House voted 235-194, and the Senate followed with an 81-14 vote later Thursday.
