IAM Community Federal Credit Union will open its doors as Solutions First Credit Union on June 3. While the new name is expected to establish new opportunities for new membership growth, IAM Credit Union will recognize and reward original founding members with a special designation of Founding Member via a Founder’s Club.

President and CEO Frank Garrett says, “In today’s market, the official name of a financial institution helps to define its source of members. In 2018, our Board of Directors approved our name change in order to include all potential members of our community charter (Coffee, Dale, and Houston counties) in order to heighten growth opportunities. Solutions First is a name that signifies our ability to provide solutions to meet every member’s financial needs.”

Since its founding in 1964, IAMCFCU has served the members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers employed at Fort Rucker, AL. The field of membership was later expanded to include other local union groups eventually converting to a community charter on Nov. 03, 2004.
