LSCU and ABCUL hold joint webinar to discuss partnership participation

As credit unions globally prepare to celebrate International Credit Union Day this month, the LSCU is specifically honing in on a relationship that began with Georgia Credit Unions and those from across the Atlantic. As part of LSCU’s international partnership with the Association of British Credit Unions Limited (ABCUL), the League will be hosting a joint webinar on Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 10 a.m. ET for credit unions who are interested in learning more about the partnership and participating in 2021.

We will be giving a background of the partnership and will have a few credit unions that have participated previously (from Georgia and Britain) to talk about the experience and the benefits of participating. We will also be discussing the plans for an in-person trip in 2021 if travel is deemed safe at that time.

“We encourage credit unions in all three states to join this webinar to learn more about how our League can benefit from working with the ABCUL,” said Jordan Burroughs, LSCU’s vice president of member engagement. “With the same shared cooperative foundation and the goal of helping members afford life, we can learn and share important information from our overseas partners.”

Interested individuals can RSVP for this webinar by registering here.
