LSCU opens award nominations to recognize standouts in credit unions

It’s time to shine a light on the people and credit unions in our industry who deserve recognition and often remain behind the scenes. The LSCU has opened nominations for the 2020 LSCU Awards, recognizing those professionals, volunteers, young professionals and credit unions that have made outstanding contributions to the development and growth of the credit union movement.

“Vision comes alive when everyone sees where his or her contribution makes a difference,” said motivational speaker Ken Blanchard. And that is never more true than when someone who sought no accolades for their efforts suddenly finds themselves honored for doing good works for individuals and the credit union movement.

We encourage our credit unions to submit nominations internally and externally to receive well-deserved recognition. It can be someone from your credit union or a peer you admire

LSCU Award categories are:

  • Distinguished Service Award
  • Professional of the Year
  • Young Professional of the Year
  • Volunteer of the Year
  • Credit Union of the Year: up to $100 million in assets
  • Credit Union of the Year: $100-$500 million in assets
  • Credit Union of the Year: $500 million or more

This year, in recognition of the LSCU’s growth to include three states, our Professional of the Year, Volunteer of the Year and Credit Union of the Year awards will be presented to LSCU-affiliated credit unions in Alabama, Florida and Georgia.

To streamline the process, financial reports will be pulled from recent Call Data Reports and are no longer required, making it easier than ever to put someone you admire in the spotlight. Click here and scroll down to find details and the nominations form. The deadline to enter is March 16.
