LSCU president joins Florida’s RESET Task Force

Jared Ross, president of the LSCU, will be one of the Florida leaders working with the state’s RESET Task Force. The new entity is comprised of the Associated Industries of Florida (AIF), Florida Retail Federation (FRF), National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) and Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association (FRLA).

“As Florida continues to work toward a full reopening, it is important that the views of the credit union industry are represented whenever business input is given,” Jared said. “We thank Associated Industries of Florida for including us in their efforts and look forward to being a part of the RESET Task Force.”

Dr. Ed Moore, executive director of the Task Force, along with a Task Force senior advisor Craig Fugate, are preparing the effort to move into the planning and research phase. The Task Force was formed to focus on providing industry-specific policy recommendations to the Florida Legislature and bringing forth initiatives that will seek to help all of Florida’s economy rebound from the effects of COVID-19 and future economic slowdowns.

The RESET Task Force is co-chaired by AIF Senior Vice President of State & Federal Affairs Brewster Bevis, FRF President & CEO Scott Shalley, NFIB Executive Director Bill Herrle and FRLA President & CEO Carol Dover. The task force and its membership will focus on policy recommendations and initiatives that will seek to help all Florida’s economy rebound from the effects of COVID-19 and any large-scale incidents that could impact Florida’s economy in the future.
