NCUALow-income credit unions seeking support to grow, train staff, and improve security should consider applying for Community Development Revolving Loan Fund assistance grants from the NCUA, which will offer $2 million in grant opportunities. NCUA’s Office of Small Credit Union Initiatives, which administers the grants, will accept applications between June 1 and June 30.

To help credit unions learn more about the process of applying for a grant, the NCUA will host a 90-minute webinar, NCUA 2016 Grant & Loan Opportunities, on May 11, beginning at 2 p.m. ET. Online registration for the free webinar and evaluation criteria are available at NCUA.

The webinar includes a panel of experts discussing the four eligible grant initiatives: capacity and growth, cyber security, staff training, and student internships, as well as urgent-needs grants and loans that are available year-round. A 30-minute question-and-answer session will follow.
