Please join the Southeastern Credit Union Foundation for an exclusive opportunity to meet with Florida Deputy Commissioner Mary Barzee Flores to discuss issues that impact our state and members. Even more importantly, how we, as credit unions can make a difference, so expect this to be an interactive and informative session.

When: Thursday, Oct. 10 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

What’s on the agenda?

  • What are credit unions currently doing to assist people in rural areas who may not have access to traditional banking services?
  • What needs are not being met in rural areas?
  • What can credit unions do to fill the gaps and better to serve this population?
  • The Future: How can credit unions and the Department of Agriculture work together to make the biggest impact for Floridians?

We will also take a look at an innovative program in Atlanta, Ga., to see if we may be able to/want to use this program as a guide to answer some of these challenges. Please email juli.lewis@lscu.coop with questions.
