SECUF’s Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor training begins in September

Is your credit union looking to expand further into the financial wellness space? For your employees? For students? For members? The Southeastern Credit Union Foundation is available to help. The Fall session for Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor training begins in September.

“Signing up through the SECUF means that you get access to recorded webinars, helpful study guides, study sessions, a support group and a participant portal to house all of the information in one place,” said SECUF Director Juli Lewis. “If you have the CUNA training bundle, you can still sign up to take part in our webinars, study guides and study sessions for a very minimal fee (exam proctoring included)!”

FiCEP is a great program to help members who are experiencing financial difficulties, demonstrate the credit union difference, attract new members, grow product and service revenue and reduce delinquencies and charge-offs. With all that 2020 has brought, being able to provide another resource to improve financial capability is more important, and more needed, than ever.

Please share this with the appropriate staff members in your Credit Union. The cost of registration is $650 per person and credit unions with SAS funds may apply them to this cost.  Scholarships are also available! Credit unions enrolling multiple participants may be eligible for a discount. More information can be found on the website here.

Register online, or contact juli.lewis@lscu.coop directly. Please note that we will also have a recertification track! Registration for the Fall FiCEP session ends Aug. 15.
