The first full day of sessions and speakers at SLDC 2017 was challenging, engaging, and inspiring. The LSCU’s president/CEO Patrick La Pine started the day off with an update on recent League activities from advocacy to strategic planning.  Rick Olson delivered a well-received challenge on how to deliver world-class service at every level followed by an encouraging economic update from Vining Sparks’ Dudley Carter.
Credit Union advocate and Alabama Sen. Rusty Glover, pictured above, addressed attendees at the Advocacy Luncheon and the afternoon was packed full with breakout sessions including a regulatory update, virtual delivery, to name a few – and a general session addressing the shrinking number of credit unions and how to stay relevant.
More than 50 exhibitors chatted with attendees on new trends, products, and services during the afternoon exhibit hall and the evening culminated with a night on the patio party hosted by Equity Valuation Partners.
