adminUnemployment numbers for Alabama and Florida continued a downward trend in October. Alabama saw its rate drop to 5.9 percent which is a .3 percent change from October 2014. In Florida the rate dropped to 5.1 percent which is a .7 percent change from Oct. 2014. Also in October, Florida created 36,000 new jobs papaonking.ca which is the highest one-month total in ten years. Alabama created 7,000 jobs in October.
“More jobs are being created, Alabama’s unemployment rate continues to drop and our economy is growing,” Gov. Robert Bentley said. “The wage and salary employment is at its highest level for the year. It has not been this high in almost seven years.”
For Alabama, Shelby and Lee counties had the lowest unemployment rates at 4 percent and 4.5 percent, respectively. Wilcox and Lowndes had the highest Canada Goose Cyber Monday sales unemployment rates at 13.1 percent and 11 percent respectively.
In Florida, Monroe and St. John’s counties have the lowest unemployment rates at 3.4 and 3.6 percent respectively. In contrast, Hardee and Hendry have the highest number of unemployed at 7.9 and 9.4 percent respectively.
When the economy and unemployment improves, credit unions see more members joining and more loans made.
