Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals celebrates its over two decade partnership with America’s credit unions with the kick-off today of the second annual “Vote for Miracles” campaign. Now through December 19, credit unions and the general public are invited to cast their votes to support their favorite CMN Hospital. At the conclusion of the promotion, the top five hospitals will be awarded a total of $100,000 on behalf of the nation’s credit unions, courtesy of CO-OP Financial Services and CU Direct.
To vote for your favorite CMN Hospital, visit www.VoteForMiracles.org. Individuals can vote once a day over the course of the three-week campaign. The hospital with the most votes will win $50,000. Second through fifth place will receive $20,000, $15,000, $10,000 and $5,000, respectively. When a vote is cast, voters have the option to choose their credit union. The credit union responsible for the most votes in each of the winning markets will be invited to participate in a check presentation for the respective hospital.
During last year’s campaign, which saw Hurley Children’s in Flint, MI take home the top prize, almost 300,000 votes were cast for 141 CMN Hospitals, representing members from over 2,200
credit unions. The promotion garnered 6.5 million impressions from news stories outside the credit union industry. The majority of the news stories were from online news outlets but a handful came from local TV stations as well.
To help boost those numbers this year and to support the effort to rally the vote, credit unions are encouraged to use the resource materials available at www.CU4Kids.org/VoteForMiracles
