Both the House and Senate will be in Washington this week as they are expected to consider the Conference Report for H.R. 1, the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. In addition, both chambers will consider another continuing resolution to continue government funding past its Dec. 22 deadline. The House bill would authorize government funding until Jan. 19. At the moment, it is unknown what the Senate will produce.

The House will also consider H.R. 3312, the Systemic Risk Designation Improvement Act of 2017 as well as H.R. 4015, the Corporate Governance Reform and Transparency Act of 2017.

In Committee today, the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee will hold a markup to consider the nominations of Scott Garrett of New Jersey to be President; Kimberly A. Reed of West Virginia to be First Vice President; Mark L. Greenblatt of Maryland to be Inspector General; and Spencer Bachus III of Alabama, Judith Delzoppo Pryor of Ohio, and Claudia Slacik, of New York, each to be a Member of the Board of Directors, all of the Export-Import Bank.
