Webinar addresses importance of diversity, inclusion

Miriam De Dios Woodward will be the guest speaker in a complimentary webinar hosted by Coopera and CUNA on Feb. 1 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. CT. Diversity and inclusion have become necessities for credit unions to live out the “people helping people” philosophy. Yet, it is not a simple task, especially for credit unions seeking to do this for the first time. It is an uncomfortable effort by design with initiatives pushing us to recognize and fix flaws in our thinking. But, the outcomes are worth the discomfort. And, importantly, more consumers are coming to expect these efforts.

The webinar will walk through an approach to begin addressing diversity and inclusion through the specific lens of financial inclusion. Attendees will walk away with actionable steps, examples and information about how to be more inclusive of emerging communities and increase their impact in the communities they serve.
