Habitat for Humanity groupThe team at America’s First Federal Credit Union recently enjoyed getting homes move-in ready for Habitat For Humanity Greater Birmingham. Two homes were built for the organization thanks, in part, to a sponsorship from America’s First FCU, as well as the sweat equity of its employees.

The push to build quickly was part of the organization’s #HomeForTheHolidays initiative. Each year, thousands of volunteers donate their time to build and renovate houses and support Habitat ReStore. Volunteer’s service saves more than an estimated $1 million in labor costs each year, keeping the purchase price of houses affordable for potential home buyers in need of quality, affordable housing.
