giving out presentsStaff of Suncoast Credit Union spent the weekend before Christmas at Joy of Giving Tampa, sharing the spirit of the season with children and their families. Titus O’Neil, a.k.a Thaddeus Bullard, was host of this year’s ninth annual Joy of Giving event, spreading love and empowerment to the community.

Joy of Giving seeks to unite the community by providing the most vulnerable children and their families a day of Christmas celebration filled with fun, food, gifts, and access to life transforming resources.

Suncoast also filled two trucks with gifts for Be A Santa To A Senior – Tampa, an organization dedicated to making the holiday season special for local seniors by gifting them personalized presents.

 

Alabama Credit Union donates to Tuscaloosa Children’s Center

employees with toysAfter a successful toy drive, Alabama Credit Union delivered all of the gifts donated by members to the Tuscaloosa Children’s Center. For more than 30 years, TCC has been providing services to child abuse victims and their supportive, non-offending caregivers.

The agency operates in a child-friendly facility where multidisciplinary team members work together to ensure that families receive the necessary services. The goal is to ensure that child-abuse victims will receive the services, advocacy, and support needed to live happy, healthy, and productive lives.

 

Tallahassee Chapter holds celebratory night of giving to charity
presenting cupac checkThe December meeting of the Tallahassee Chapter of Credit Unions was a night of celebration and giving. The chapter presented donations to 211 Big Bend, CUPAC, the SECUF, and Toys for Tots. At the meeting, those present also congratulated First Commerce CU’s Jan Sheffield on her retirement and thanked her for her years of service.
