WinSouth Credit Union shares seasonal spirit with unexpected Santa visits
pop up santaWinSouth Credit Union in Alabama celebrated the holiday season in many ways, including with Pop-up Santa surprises for employees and members. During December, Santa’s helpers would unexpectedly visit the branches to spread holiday cheer and share gifts.

The credit union also held a toy drive to help the needy children in Etowah County have a Merry Christmas. WinSouth acccepted new, unwrapped toys for the Toys from Santa program at two of its locations and encouraged members of the community to also drop off donatins at any Gadsden Fire Station.

 

PriorityONE Credit Union staff celebrate National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day
ugly sweatersOn Dec. 21, staff at PriorityONE Credit Union of Florida celebrated National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day with friendly competition. The tradition is held annually on the third Friday in December. Trivia: “According to the Ugly Christmas Sweater Party Book: The Definitive Guide to Getting Your Ugly On, there was a noticeable uptick in ugly sweater parties around 2001, and the tradition snowballed from there.”

If you want to get started early in your search for the most hideous holiday attire, you have time. The next National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day is Friday, Dec. 20, 2019.

 

Heritage South CU employees compete for most unattractive holiday garment
ugly sweatersHeritage South Credit Union in Alabama held its own Ugly Christmas Sweater contest with staff vying to outdo each other with the most unattractive look. Trivia: “Though the sweater as a garment has existed in the U.S. since the late 19th century, hideous holiday versions only began to sprout up in the last several decades.”
