Keys Federal Credit Union announced it will be a sponsor of this year’s Fourth July Celebration in Big Pine Key organized by the Big Pine & Lower Keys Rotary Club. The fireworks at Big Pine Key Community Park will take place on the night of July 3. The park can be found at Mile Marker 30 on the bayside at the end of Sands Road. Gates will open at 5 p.m. to a family-friendly affair filled with food, drinks, games and activities. Enjoy a live music performance followed by the show-stopping fireworks display.
America’s First FCU recognizes Vulcan’s birthday
America’s First Federal Credit Union in Birmingham, AL joined in to sponsor a 114th birthday celebration for the city’s signature statue, Vulcan. The June 3 event included activities for the whole family today at Vulcan Park and Museum in celebration of the Big Guy’s 114th birthday. Vulcan, the world’s largest cast iron statute, stands atop Red Mountain as a unifying symbol.
“Birmingham families look forward to Vulcan’s Big Birthday Bash every year!” said Darlene Negrotto, President and CEO of Vulcan Park Foundation. “With the addition of the new Kiwanis Centennial Park and the Kiwanis Vulcan Trail we’ve added a Boost Kid’s fun run to the event this year. We hope everyone joins in the fun to help Vulcan blow out his candles!”
Publix Employees FCU celebrates opening of Sarasota branch
Publix Employees Federal Credit Union held a grand opening for its new Sarasota branch in May, inviting members to come and explore the branch at a meet and greet. Refreshments and gifts were provided, and a drawing was held for an iPad 32GB. The new branch is located at Beneva Village 3564 Clark Rd. Sarasota, FL 34231.
