Suncoast Credit Union sponsors Senior Day in the Park
senior in parkSuncoast Credit Union sponsored Senior Day in the Park on March 15 for the second straight year. The event, put on by Tampa Parks & Recreation at MacFarlane Park, featured a one-mile walk, games and entertainment, free food, T-shirts, and raffles.

The Tampa Police Department provided safety information, as well as demonstrations from some of the its specialty resources. Vendors were on hand to discuss various products and services for seniors during the golden day.

 

Sun Credit Union leader receives Business Leadership Award
receiving awardSun Credit Union President and CEO Patrick (Pat) J. Mason was honored with the Greater Hollywood Chamber of Commerce 2019 Business Leadership Award.

Pat was recognized for his involvement in the community and as a leader in the business world. Originally from Altoona, PA, Pat began his career in south Florida as a human resources professional, manager, and director in both the private and public sectors for more than years before changing careers to serve as head of SUN Credit Union. During his 24 years at the helm of SUN CU, he has continuously served on the GHCC Board of Directors, as president in 2013, and on various other chamber committees.

Additionally, Pat currently serves as a board member of the LSCU. He and his wife, Sheri, reside in Davie, FL, and together are involved in the South Broward community.

 

Alabama Credit Union joins in fight against heart disease
heart walkIn March, Alabama Credit Union was a sponsor of the Tuscaloosa Heart Walk, and on March 2, staff participated in the event to fight heart disease. The team was able to raise more than $5,000 to support the American Heart Association – Alabama.
