Envision Credit Union recently announced that it will offer free Financial Education workshops, online or in the classroom, to assist educators in meeting the requirements of HB 7071, Florida’s new Workforce Education Bill. The bill, signed into law in June 2019, promotes career readiness and workforce opportunities for students in Florida and requires that all public high schools now offer a half-credit elective in financial literacy.

Now that the 2019-2020 school has started, Envision is stepping up to provide teachers with the tools they need to bridge the gap between financial literacy and the classroom and fulfill this new requirement. With topics covering a variety of concepts such as building credit and saving and investing, the credit union’s workshops utilize engaging video content and include take home tools to ensure students are set up for future financial success.
