Shine a light: CUNA Awards deadline extended to Aug. 7

The deadline for submissions for CUNA Awards has been extended to Aug. 7, offering credit unions in the tri-state area additional time to turn in nominations recognizing outstanding individuals who contribute to their organization and community.

CUNA’s National Award programs are designed to encourage and recognize distinguished credit unions that demonstrate social responsibility (the Dora Maxwell Award), the credit union philosophy (the Louise Herring Award), and financial education (the Desjardins Awards).

“It’s inspiring to our cooperative initiatives team and to our league to see how many incredible things credit unions in our three states are doing every day,” said Jordan Burroughs, LSCU’s vice president of member engagement. “This is no time to be shy. Your credit union deserves recognition, and we need for our affiliates to submit their stories to receive the honors they have earned through hard work and dedication!”

In an effort to streamline the submission process for our member credit unions and to reduce financial and human resources spent on the submission process, CUNA and the Leagues have collaborated to produce one standardized format and online submission process for our member credit unions.
